Naledi M

Naledi "Ledi" Masilo, is a zesty, young and dynamic vocalist and composer born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa.  As a self-didactic Jazz vocalist, Naledi performs with a grace and technique secured by her knowledge and passion for the art. She believes that music has been gifted to the world as a tool to move lives and urge hearts to take action.

Her philosophy as an artist is to ensure that her performances are entrenched in a strong and engaging band chemistry, which will then translate to the audience. Rooted in her exploration of the jazz tradition and her African influences, her music is often described as easy listening jazz reflections. Having performed from a very young age, Naledi's stage presence is a clear indication of comfort and passion for what she is doing. Whether performing with a duo setup, or a full band, Naledi is still able to engage and capture audiences. 

"Professionalism is key to maintaining a balanced artist client relationship as is maintaining the bands happiness throughout the process" says Naledi. 

She has performed with Cape Town favourites such as the likes of Frank Paco and Amanda Tiffin. She has also had the privilege at performing at some of South Africa's greatest festivals including the Grahamstown Youth Jazz Festival, Artscape Youth Jazz Festival and the Klein Karoo Klassique. Naledi regularly gigs with her Quintet around Cape Town public, and private venues such as the Crypt and Straight No Chaser Jazz Club.
